CULDF Director: Dr. Linda J. Stillman

Dr. Linda J. Stillman is a global mentor of the millennial generation and the visionary, founder/chair of the Young Global Leadership Foundation (YGLF.org). YGLF promotes effective, efficient and ethical leadership through the human dimension for young aspiring leaders.

YGLF was granted the United Nations ECOSOC Special Consultative Status in July 2018, and Dr. Linda serves as the Main Representative. YGLF is also a member the UN NGO Commission on the Status of Women Committee (NGO CSW), United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) focused on higher education, and NGO Committee on Education: Learning and Literacy (CELL). Dr. Linda has recently established Royal Global Mentoring to guide young people, across the spectrum of society, worldwide, with their academic ~ professional ~ UN civic engagement choices and involvement.For decades, Dr. Linda contributed to diplomatic and intercultural relations and resided in Morocco, former Yugoslavia, Iceland, Germany, and China. She was president of the International Women’s Association, Rabat, president of the American Women’s Club, Belgrade, creator/chair of the International Women’s Association, Reykjavik, and Vice President of the International Women’s Association, Bonn.

She has served as an independent professor, professional development director, cultural communication expert, UN NGO representative, conference /event organizer, speaker, and writer. In her academic capacity for 30 years, Dr. Linda has taught at the University of Maryland, Bonn, the European Business Management Academy, Paris/Bonn, LIM College and Pace University, New York City. She has also guest lectured at multiple academic institutes, e.g., Cornell University, Baruch College, Fordham University, Bonn University, Moscow State University, FAAP (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and presented several times at the UN. She also served as a board member the American Association of University Women. As global mentor since 2010, Dr. Linda has guided aspiring young leaders, globally, from refugees to royals. In that capacity, she also resided in Beijing from 2015-2016 and traveled throughout the Far East. Concurrently, Dr. Linda also served as the UN public affairs consultant for the UN Women’s Fourth World Conference, Beijing 1995. She was the UN NGO Representative for Soroptimist International, the world’s largest professional women’s service organization, for two 5-year terms (2001-2011). She was on the UN NGO CSW planning committee for these 10 years. She also created/chaired the Sophia Movement: Women and Wisdom.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Cornell University, Dr. Linda studied German at the Goethe Institute, completing all 6 semesters with excellence. She earned her Master of Arts in teaching (MAT), with highest distinction, at Webster University in Iceland. She then acquired her International Affairs Certification at New York University and her Negotiation and Mediation Certification through Pace University. She earned her International Ph.D. cum laude from Bonn University, (Germany) writing her dissertation in two languages on: The Impact of Culture on Communication and Women Leadership at the United Nations. She then created university courses and seminars on the United Nations and the Women’s World.
