Dr. Weihua MA previously served as Executive Director, President and CEO of China Merchants Bank, while simultaneously serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Wing Lung Bank Ltd., CIGNA & CMC life Insurance Company Ltd. and China Merchants Fund Management Co. Ltd. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics. Dr. MA served as a representative to the 10th National People’s Congress (NPC) and a member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He is currently a member of the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC. In addition, he currently holds a number of positions in various organizations, including Chairman of the National fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialization (NFTTC), Chairman of the One Foundation, Chairman of the China Entrepreneur Club, and Executive Director of the China Society for Finance. Dr. MA is also active in academia, serving as adjunct professor in several top Chinese universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University.
